Boston showsmiths Varietae will premiere the latest episode in its space saga STARFLY at Portland's Bubba's Sulky Lounge. Blast off with Captain Vice V'Ersatile and his randy crew aboard the USSSS STARFLY for an unforgettable pleasure cruise around the universe. Along the way this musical sci-fried adventure will encounter heavenly bodies and hot alien sex. Inflight entertainment will include electro superstars Lovewhip and the Whipettes and direct from the 80's sax/vox duo Ronald Reagan. Space-medics Atomic Trash will be on duty to attend to any code red emergencies. We'll discover cosmic curiousities like Fem-cee Cathy Cathodic, Lord Byron and the mysterious PV-Scene. Original songs and skits from the scorchin' Varietae crew members keep this wild spaceshow hurling through the universe.

Varietae has been producing original theatrical spectacles in Boston since 2005. Staged mostly in bars, these shows are a musical mash-up of comedy and drama, from the absurdist to the burlesque. Varietae chronicles the time/space trapezing aventures of extra-friendly extra-terrestrial Vice V'Ersatile. Vice has trapsed and trampled through human history to party with the swinging-est of historical figures, from Caligula to Camus. Vice first brought Varietae audiences into the cosmos with the Varietae In Space Thrill-ogy, a 3-episode popera set agaist civil strife on his home planet of Hihowaya. Varietae embarks on a bold new episodic adventure with this performance of STARFLY.
